For eligible new patients, Gap Free means no out-of-pocket payment for the services included in the package. Eligibility depends on your health fund, dental extras cover, waiting periods, annual limits and available benefits.
04Can I use any private health insurance fund for Gap Free dental cleaning?
We accept all Australian private health insurance funds and can process claims on site through HICAPS. Gap Free eligibility depends on your individual cover and available benefits, and our Blackburn team can help check this before your appointment.
05Are digital X-rays and fluoride included in the offer?
Yes. Fluoride treatment is included, and digital X-rays are included when your dentist considers them clinically required. Any additional imaging or treatment will be explained and quoted before proceeding.
06How often should I have a dental check-up and clean?
Many patients attend every 6 to 12 months, but the right interval depends on your teeth, gums, decay risk, medical history and oral hygiene. Your dentist will recommend a schedule suited to your needs.
07Does a professional dental clean hurt?
Most routine dental cleans are comfortable. If your gums are sensitive or inflamed, you may notice temporary tenderness. Please tell our team about any sensitivity or anxiety so we can make your visit as gentle as possible.
08What happens if the dentist finds a problem during my check-up?
Your dentist will explain the findings, answer your questions and provide a tailored treatment plan if needed. Any treatment outside the Check-Up & Clean package will be discussed and quoted separately before you decide whether to proceed.
